I don't think anyone but me and the Mrs.
saw "Straight Story, but that doesn't mean Richard Farnsworth
wasn't the best I saw. Maybe he played the old man so well because
he's old. Maybe he wasn't actig at all. All I know is that guy
was completely credible, and he's got some pretty incredible
eyes. Hell, Richard Farnsworth made me think I really knew Alvin
Straight and I don't. The closest I know is the nut across the
street who's always trying to sell me cyclone fence.
"Straight Story" isn't the best
movie of the year, but it might have been the worst if Bruce
Willis had played Alvin Straight. Thank God for Farnsworth.
